In 2023, a collaboration was born between two lineworkers who shared a deep passion for the industry and a desire to give back. Witnessing the evolution of linework throughout their careers, they recognized the pressing need to prepare the workforce for the future advancements, challenges, and demands that lay ahead. What were once distant concerns have now become immediate realities for lineworkers today.
Driven by a sense of responsibility, these lineworkers joined forces to leverage their combined knowledge, skills, and experience to shape the future of the trade. They aim to equip lineworkers with the tools and expertise needed to meet the ever-increasing demand for power in a rapidly changing landscape.
Rooted in the traditional values and practices passed down through generations of lineworkers, while embracing the inevitability of change, this collaboration bridges the gap between past wisdom and future innovation. Recognizing the importance of adaptability in the modern lineworking environment, our approach is built on over two decades of experience in the high voltage electrical industry. With a background encompassing generation, transmission, distribution, underground and overhead work, storm response, wildfire mitigation, urban and rural settings, and various utility structures, we rely on safe and efficient work practices.
Emphasizing the significance of interpersonal skills and a positive working culture, this lineworker has actively contributed to safety committees, work process improvement teams, union relations committees, and other roles representing the workgroup.
